How to declare your works and rights with AGICOA

You can declare your works and rights with AGICOA in a variety of formats – the process is quick and efficient. Your Portfolio Manager will help you choose the most convenient method from the following options:

– Online
– Excel
– XML
– PDF

Online

Once you have registered with AGICOA, you will receive a username and password allowing you to access our International Rights Royalty Information System portal (IRRIS Web), a secure environment where you can run queries, declare your works, update your data and track your royalties.

IRRIS Web is compatible with all major browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Excel

You can easily declare your works and rights using the Simplified Works and Rights Interface (S-WRI), an Excel-compatible file format.

To use this method, simply download the template using the following link and fill in all the required information: (under II-c – Electronic Declaration File in Excel). Please don’t modify the file format – if you do, the upload won’t work.

Once you have completed the S-WRI file, you just need to email it to your Portfolio Manager, who will upload it to International Rights Royalty Information System (IRRIS) accessible online thanks to IRRIS Web.

Important: The S-WRI format is designed for declaring new works only. If you want to update existing data, please log in to IRRIS Web or use the XML file format (see below).

XML

The rights on works you wish to declare with AGICOA and/or to update are stored at your end in a database such as Oracle or MS-Access. The Works and Rights Interface (WRI), an XML-format file, allows those data to be exported from your database and imported into ours.

This format is mainly intended for mass declarations and can be used to update existing title registration data.

For the export and import process to work smoothly, you will need to follow some specific guidelines; please refer to the following resource (under II- b. Electronic Declaration Files in XML).

Then just email the WRI file to your Portfolio Manager, who will upload it to International Rights Royalty Information System portal (IRRIS) accessible online thanks to IRRIS Web.

PDF

If you prefer, you can declare your works and rights by completing PDF forms electronically, or even by printing and filling them out by hand. You can download the relevant forms here (under II-d – Declaration Forms in PDF).

Then send your completed form(s), by email, fax or mail, to your Portfolio Manager.
